He was a sniffer dog,

For duty he did slog.

Then came a day,

When he was whisked away.

They said he was unfit,

Life took a massive hit.

Numbered were his days,

Of hope there were no rays.

Then came a gentle soul,

He was my uncle.

He tended to Leo with love,

The blessing came from above.

A strapping boy of ten,

Leo proved faith can’t be shaken.
